The lab recently received a 2022 Seed grant from Brown University to develop Drosophila as a model to understand the neural and molecular mechanisms of opioid abuse. This cutting edge research will result in rigorous behavioral assays to measure opioid responses in Drosophila, and map the receptor(s) important for these responses.
