A huge Kaun Lab welcome to new postdoctoral fellow Dr. Rebecca Oramas Graves. Rebecca recently completed her PhD work on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying Drosophila ovarian function in the Sun Lab at the University of Connecticut. Rebecca is the inaugural Brown University Dean Diversity Fellow in Biology and Medicine. This prestigious two year fellowship will support her independent postdoctoral studies. Rebecca will be working on how alcohol and drugs influence cell signaling pathways like Notch to disrupt neuronal function and reproductive cell development.
